Software Projects are considered as long and forcible processes. Many software projects are completed with a only 50% success and customer satisfaction. Many worldwide big companies also experienced such processes and developed some methodologies to overcome those problems. “Agile” has become the most powerful of these methodologies during that period. After using “Agile”, those companies increased their success rate to 80% which carried a large amount of outcome in return.
Agile is the fastest and the most secure methodology among the known methodologies in software development. Therefore, many companies in the world are getting through Agile for the last few years.
But why? When we check the software projects, we can conclude that the projects are planned according to:
- customer requirements,
- time,
- source,
- quality and
- vision.
All these facts have a tendency to change at the beginning of the projects but even through the project life cycle. Thus, there occurs a need for a flexible system that is able to manage these inevitable changes.
For sure there are some problems that tends to come with these changes:
- uncontrolled development process due to frequently changing facts,
- inefficient development process due to unpredictable business requirements,
- incompetence to the changes that occurred at the middle of the project.
Most of the software Project management methodologies are inadequate to solve the above problems that are the nature of any software development Project.
Here comes Agile as the answer to the problems summarized above.
